dongle not supported or what?

engine code DCXA,1.6L Passat B8 throws, app says;
ECu responds to ODB2 requests but not to CAN ISO-15765 requests. (engine not supported or elm327 faulty/bad quality)
Dongle tested and working up to ELM327 v2.

DCXA is supported so I think the adapter quality isn't so good.

Don't blindly trust the specs because many adapters seem to be compatible with every protocol in the world, but they can't manage correctly many of the canbus commands.

Give also a check to the FAQ to understand why low cost adapters usually don't work well with my app:

I bought new "Carista ODB2 Scanner, with setting for VAG group. Work greate for motor diagnosis and configuration, and services.
Some body know if work ok with this apps

Yes Carista work very well with VAG DPF, but you need to check if your engine is supported.
