BETA test for 29bit init protocol

Post by admin » Sun Jul 21, 2024 3:16 pm

Hello guys
I've been waiting for months hoping to find a new TDI engine with the 29bit init protocol to expand the supported engine list, but I've been unlucky.

Now to unlock this stuck situation, I ask for your help.

In the new release 3.30.12 that I'm going to publish in days, you'll find the new engine protocol 97 that forces the 29bit protocol. At the moment I don't have a list of engines who use this protocol, but if you own a new VAG car, model year 2021 or newer, and VAG DPF doesn't work with it with any engine group, it probably has the 29bit init protocol. In this case, if you already own a good ELM327 adapter, you can try the new engine group 97 and give me a feedback.

Currently I'm completely blind, I added what I think is necessary to establish the communication, but I'm not able to test anything.
Any kind of feedback can be useful for me.

If you want to support this beta test, please answer this topic adding your engine data and the result of the test.
Thank you very much

Hi. I have a Skoda Octavia IV, year 2021, DTTA engine. I am connecting using carista. At the moment I cannot connect the VAG DPF to the car. There was no problem with the Octavia III, I was satisfied. I can help with the beta version.

Thanks, keep checking this topic for instructions when the new release will be published.

It will take about one week to close the pre-launch checks.

I'm implementing the beta profile in both apps, but only the full app has the log file feature to save at least a short result of the connection.
In the free app I'm evaluating if it's the case to add a popup with the same information just to give you, and then to me, a feedback of what happens.
